The Words I Would Say.

Hi guys!!!

So, I know it has been awhile since I have last blogged.  It is that point in the semester when everything is supper hectic. I decided after lent that I would continue my blog, but only do it when I had the want or desire to write it.  I don't want it to feel like it is something I drag doing.

Anyways..enough about that!

13 days ago I grabbed dinner with a close friend of mine before the CRU weekly meeting.  We began to have a spiritual conversation about our "story" because our last two bible study nights are for giving our life story or most known as our testimony.  While we were talking, we came to the same conclusion.  The conclusion that we feel we don't have an ending to our story or if we even have a story at all.  We feel we are too scared to be vulnerable because we know we may be judged by what we have to say or our story might not be good enough. As time went on, we realized we have a story in our own personal way.  God has given us purpose, and his purpose is to show us his great love for us.  My friend's journey and mine may be so different, but it's our adventure in life that makes us have our own story.  We should not fear our story because God has placed obstacles in our life for a reason.  A reason we may not know about at that particular time, but a reason that keeps our story interesting for God's purpose and his purpose only.

After dinner my friend and I stopped by the library because she had to print something out for the meeting.  I ran into the restroom, and on the stall door there was a sticky note that said, "Your story is important." It is amazing to see God work through our struggling times.  That was just the reminder I needed to know that God is in control, and he has a plan for me.

If we fully rely on God, then we shall not fear.

Psalm 46:1-3 says..
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we shall not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

My favorite lyrics from the song The Words I Would Say are..

Be strong in the Lord and
Never give up hope
You're gonna do great things
I already know
God's got his hand on you
So don't live life in fear
Forgive and forget
But don't forget why you're here
Take your time and pray
These are the words I would say

I believe these words are so powerful.  Take time to reread these words and reflect on them.  God has done such amazing things, and He isn't done with you yet.  Your journey will never end, so be ready for what he has in store for you next.

Jeremiah 29:11 says..
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Dear God,
I thank you for giving me the opportunity for my friend and I to talk and bond over such a deep and enriching conversation.  It is by your grace that we have a purpose for life.  You light the path for us, and it is you who guides us through everything.  I pray we take to heart the words this song offers us, and we can apply it to our lives now and everyday.  I pray we continue to seek you in everything we do no matter what it is or where we are going.  I pray all these awesome things in your great name. Amen.
