He Is With Us

Happy Monday!

Last week was a little rough for me.  I battled a severe migraine, cold, and too much classwork.  I'm glad that week is over, and I'm looking forward to what comes my way this week.

While in Sweden, I could feel God working within me.  It was great to see the beauty of his presence somewhere else than my usual surroundings.  I think there is so much for my to share about my trip, but at the same time I don't think I can put my experience into words.

God could not have put a better group together to experience such an amazing trip.  Each and every individual on the trip was great to get to know.  These people helped me understand why I want to go into the field of education.

There is a reason God pushed me to want to go on this trip.  Not only did I absolutely fall in love with the schools, but also the students I met were terrific.  English is apart of their curriculum, so it was quite easy to communicate with people in Sweden.  The students were fascinated with the United States.  It was great to see their curiosity of what fun things we enjoy doing while we are home.

I can definitely say teaching internationally would be a great adventure.

God is with us everywhere we go. His spirit lives within us.

The song I chose for today is He Is With Us by Love & The Outcome.  I encourage you to listen to the song, and especially to what the lyrics have to say.  Sometimes I find myself just focusing on the beat, but always remember the lyrics can have a great message! From my understanding on the lyrics, I know it is extremely important to trust God.  Sometimes I struggle with fully committing myself to the Lord, but he is the only one who knows what is best for me.  He knows exactly what he is doing even though it might hurt now.  This means even though we may be living through darkness there will always be light at the end.  God knows what we can handle, and he has a plan for everything.  He knows there is a reason behind it all, but we must have faith we will discover that purpose.  God will also never leave us because he is always with us no matter what.  His purpose is everything to us, and we must have full confidence that God has the answer for everything.

I challenge you this week to truly believe God is with you at all times.  Sometimes it may be hard to acknowledge his presence, but just know he will never leave your side.

I even struggle with taking my own advice sometimes too.  I have so much going on as a college student that it is so easy to fall short from God.  Having faith is something you have to work towards. It is something you must put effort in if you want any sort of outcome.  The closer you are with God the easier it is to feel him working within you.  For this to work, you must have the desire and need to fully commit yourself to strengthen your relationship with God.

Dear God,

I just pray for those who struggle to fully complete themselves to you, me included.  Writing this blog has encouraged me to get closer with you, and I thank you for giving me the confidence to share openly with the people who read this.  I pray you continue to lift others and me up who are focused on receiving your love.  I acknowledge it is you who will never leave us no matter the circumstance.  I pray you continue to speak through me as I write my daily posts.  I pray all these things in your awesome name.  Amen.
