Come As You Are.
Do you ever wonder that you are not good enough for
God's grace? Well, we are human (obviously) and think these crazy
things. God forgives and forgets our past when we confess our sins to
Him. But in order for this to occur, we must put complete trust and
confidence in Him that he will make our path straight. God puts us
through challenges and obstacles for His purpose. He does this to
strengthen our faith in Him and to also establish a stronger relationship.
He is the reason we stand here today, so we have to do our part in loving
Him no matter where He takes us in life.
This afternoon I continued to read and finished the
book of Hebrews, and these verses stood out to me.
10:17
"Their sins and lawless acts I will remember
no more."
11:1
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and
certain of what we do not see.
11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God,
because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards
those who earnestly seek him.
12:28
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that
cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with
reverence and awe.
13:5
"Never will I leave you; never will I forsake
you."
13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and
forever.
13:19
I particularly urge you to pray so that I may be
restored to you soon.
In order for us to grow with God, we must
communicate with Him. A great way to do this is through prayer. We
pray to express our feelings and ideas to Him about whatever is going on in our
life. God has provided guidelines on how we should live our life.
Do you ask what this is? Well, it is this big book called the Holy
Bible. It is a great tool to use. It is a life book filled with
wonderful, powerful stories. I challenge you to open your Bible and read
the verses I have mentioned in this blog post. Take time to reflect and
pray about the meaning behind these influential words.
Dear God,
You are such a loving God that you offer us
forgiveness. You renew us everyday to use us as a blessing for others.
You put us through tribulation to shape our purpose here on Earth.
We fall on our knees knowing you continue to love us even though we fail
everyday. In order for us to grow together, we must devote time to you so
we can serve you. We must remember to pray daily, so we can strengthen
our relationship with you. We love you and we are even more grateful for
your amazing grace. I pray all these things in Your awesome name.
Amen.
